Follow the directions for using Vaniqa provided by your doctor. Vaniqa comes with a patient information leaflet. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about this medicine. Apply a thin layer of this medicine to the affected areas of the face and under the chin, at least 5 minutes after hair removal (e.g., plucking, shaving). Rub in thoroughly. Do not wash the treated area for at least 4 hours. Wait at least 8 hours between applications of this medicine. Cosmetics or sunscreens may be applied after the medicine has dried.

What else should people know about taking Celebrex ?

People who are allergic to celecoxib or to sulfonamides should not use Celebrex. People who have ever had asthma, hives or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs should also not use Celebrex. While low-dose aspirin to prevent heart attack or stroke can be used with Celebrex, people who take aspirin and Celebrex together are at increased risk of developing stomach ulcers compared with those taking Celebrex alone. Celebrex is not a substitute for aspirin for prevention of heart attack or stroke. If you think you are having an allergic reaction or if you have other severe or unusual symptoms while taking Celebrex, call your doctor or other healthcare professional immediately.

How should Celebrex be taken?

Celebrex can be taken with or without food. Celebrex capsules come in two strengths: 100 mg and 200 mg. The recommended dose for OA is 200 mg a day, which may be taken as a single 200-mg dose or as a 100-mg dose twice a day. The recommended dose for RA is 100 mg to 200 mg, twice a day.

Directions:

Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions you may have about Celebrex medications. Celebrex celecoxib may be taken on an empty stomach or with food. STORE Celebrex Dosage at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) in a tightly-closed container, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF CELEBREX CELECOXIB, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do NOT take 2 doses at once.

Side Effects:
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with Celebrex medications. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you are taking an anticoagulant. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about taking Celebrex medications.
DO NOT TAKE CELEBREX CELECOXIB IF YOU HAVE HAD A SEVERE ALLERGIC REACTION to aspirin or any medicine containing aspirin or to a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (such as Feldene, Motrin, Naprosyn, Clinoril).
DO NOT TAKE CELEBREX CELECOXIB IF YOU HAVE HAD A SEVERE ALLERGIC REACTION to a sulfonamide antibiotic (Septra DS, Bactrim DS, Gantrisin). A severe reaction includes a severe rash, hives, breathing difficulties, or dizziness. If you have a question about whether you are allergic to Celebrex medications, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
IF YOU EXPERIENCE difficulty breathing; tightness of chest; swelling of eyelids, face, or lips; or if you develop a rash or hives, tell your doctor immediately. Do not take any more doses of Celebrex celecoxib unless your doctor tells you to do so.
DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE or take Celebrex Dosage for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor.
KEEP ALL DOCTOR AND LABORATORY APPOINTMENTS while you are using Celebrex medications.
CELEBREX MEDICATIONS MAY CAUSE stomach bleeding. If you drink alcohol on a daily basis, do not take Celebrex without first discussing it with your doctor. Alcohol use combined with Celebrex Dosage may increase your risk for stomach bleeding.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. This includes any medicines that contain aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or ketoprofen. Aspirin as prescribed by your doctor for reasons such as heart attack or stroke prevention (i.e., non-arthritis doses) should be continued.
FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Celebrex during pregnancy.
IT IS UNKNOWN IF CELEBREX IS EXCRETED in breast milk.
DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking Celebrex.
